Jar of Candy Canes-
Jar of Candy Canes
I have always had a large collection of early blown glass jars - as they are so useful - but this is not an old jar  -- this jar is from the Schneemans who are famous for their wonderful folk art.  The lid is a great red - and this jar is filled with 1910 candy canes, I think there are a dozen and a half in the jar.
A fun, easy holiday decoration.  The jar measures 10 in tall and 7 in across.
1920 Steel Truck w/Trees and Sled-
1920 Steel Truck w/Trees and Sled
Forgive me for listing holiday early -but lots to sell this season - just no room and much has been in storage for over 20 years.  This is a 1920 rolled steel truck, perfect condition and all original - I can send great close ups if you wish, just write to me.
It has vintage bottlebrush trees in back and an early little red sled.  This grouping will make a nice statement for you.
Wonderful 1870 Doll Chair-

Wonderful 1870 Doll Chair-
Wonderful 1870 Doll Chair
This is a wonderful offering - a very early doll chair.  A father or grandfather lovingly made this for a little girl - is it an exact copy of a chair in their home??  The chair is made of black cherry and is a wonderful example of an early chair, initials AL are carved into the back of the chair - this is a great little piece.  Chair measures 10 inches tall, 5 in across and 3.5 to top of seat.  Look at the work into the arms of this chair, that is what makes me think they copied a chair they owned.  I showed this to dealer/friends after I decided to sell it - they say no later than 1870 is their guess.  Enjoy
The photos on IPad show the initials and chair so nicely - feel free to ask for those photos, I cannot enlarge on this site  - sorry
Small Eagle Vane - Original Surface-

Small Eagle Vane - Original Surface
I have a thing for "vanes" and have more than I need here.  This is a small eagle, in original paint - paint on eagle is great, a few scrapes on back of ball, I can send more photos - but it is in very good condition.  A dealer/friend thinks this was possibly a very fancy top to a flag pole in the late 1880s, just a guess - but it is great, it is cast iron and wood - the base was made to be used as a small vane.
The vane measures 12 inches high and 8 inches wing tip to wing tip - - - a nice piece to mix on shelf - great, small size.
